Do The Greens support AI safety policies?

Yes! The Greens support the expert-recommended AI safety policies.
The Green’s platform fully includes an Australian AI Act with mandatory guardrails and an independent regulator. While the platform does not explicitly say that the Greens would endorse an AI Safety Institute, the Greens said during the Australians for AI Safety Townhall that their proposed AI regulator would also perform the functions of an AI Safety Institute.
